Unarchive a channel in Slack

⚠ī¸ Members are removed from archived public channels, but they’ll be retained in private channels if the channel is restored.

How to unarchive a channel in Slack

  • Search in the top bar for the channel you wish to unarchive.

    Archived channels have the text (archived) appended to their names.

  • Click the ℹī¸ in the top right corner.

  • Choose Un-archive #<channel name> to restore the archived channel.

You’re all set, the channel is now active! 🎉

You can always archive the channel again if you need to.
